COVID-19 has recently been at the forefront of everyone’s mind for a while now, more and more we are presented with questions pertaining to our service delivery and how it has been affected. Thankfully we can say it is ‘Business as usual’ for most company procedures, here are just a few points that we would like to make you aware of…
Trading, Supply & Deliveries
At this time we are still able to provide next day delivery service on the vast majority of deliveries, however, supply of goods and services are subject to the strains on the wider supply chain due to a sudden influx of companies desiring to implement a ‘Work from home’ strategy. Elements such as lead times, stock levels and back orders may change unexpectedly therefore we cannot confirm same day or timed deliveries. (this applies to selected brands and products, please contact your account manager to see if this affects your business.)
Our couriers have been key workers during this lock-down period, providing deliveries whilst also adhering to government-imposed guidelines. Please do your best to help them by ensuring someone can receive your delivery once it arrives.
Under the current circumstances, we are unable to take credit card payments from customers due to our accounts staff working remotely, however we are allowing customers to pay via bank transfer. We are also asking that customers do not pay via cheque as we cannot guarantee that Royal Mail deliveries will be checked as frequently as usual. We currently cannot offer extended payment terms, at this time it is important that invoices are payed promptly as it allows us to continue trading effectively and serve the needs of our clients (for more information, E-mail Accounts@galtec.com)
Galtec are committed to supporting our customers in any way we can, our services team has been working hard to consistently provide proactive maintenance and minimize our client downtimes. Our engineers are currently working as a skeleton staff on site to ensure that our staff are as safe as possible. In light of this, we are able to carry out build work however, there may be slightly longer delays due to the unpredictability of the supply chain and more rigorous quality checks.
